If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our website and services.
2. Services
Lakeside Carpentry & Renovations provides professional carpentry and renovation services, including but not limited to home improvement, repairs, remodeling, and custom renovations. All services are subject to availability and may vary based on location, project type, and other factors.
3. Estimates and Agreements
Estimates: We provide free estimates through email and occasionally over the phone. These estimates are based on the information provided and are subject to change if the scope of the project evolves or if unforeseen issues are discovered during the project.
Agreements: Once an estimate is accepted through the quickbooks software or written text, letter, email or over the phone, we will issue a written email outlining the scope of work, costs, payment terms, and timelines. If additional material or the scope of work changes you will be notified and options will be discussed before proceeding. Work will commence once the estimate/quote is approved and any agreed-upon deposits are received.
4. Payments
Deposits: A deposit may be required to schedule and secure your project. This will be outlined in your estimate.
Payment Terms: Full payment terms will be provided in the estimate. Payments must be made according to the agreed-upon schedule.
Late Payments: Failure to make timely payments may result in delays, additional fees, or suspension of work until payment is received.
Failure to pay: Legal action will be taken.
5. Changes to Scope of Work
If any changes to the scope of work are required after the estimate is approved, an updated invoice will be sent and must be approved by both parties. This may result in additional costs or extensions to the project timeline.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Client: Clients may cancel their project before work begins, but cancellation fees may apply if materials have been purchased or if significant time has been invested in planning or renting equipment. Note: once the estimate is approved we begin ordering materials.
Cancellation by Company: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather, safety concerns, or inability to access the site. We will notify the client as soon as possible if this occurs.
7. Warranties
Workmanship Warranty: We stand behind the quality of our work and will always try to make things right. But no warranties are issued for for labor.
Material Warranties: Any manufacturer warranties on materials used will be passed along to the client.
8. Liability
Property Damage: We take great care in our work and will make every effort to avoid damage to your property. However, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions or any damage resulting from conditions outside of our control, such as weather or structural instability.
Third-Party Contractors: In some cases, we may recommend or work with third-party contractors for specific tasks. We are not responsible for the actions, performance, or liability of third-party contractors unless otherwise stated.
9. Website Use
Content: The content on our website, including images, text, and graphics, is for informational purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any content without our express written consent.
Third-Party Links: Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites.
